Hours: approximately 40 hours per week (operational hours are Mon-Fri 8am-6pm)
The Richmond SPCA is seeking a part-time Client Services Representative to work in our full-service Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital. This is a great opportunity to join this established, well recognized private no-kill humane society.
Requirements include:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, take and follow directions, provide productive feedback to management
  • Adapt and accommodate to changing demands and make appropriate prioritization decisions
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems quickly. Knowledge of Avimark a plus
  • General cleaning, restocking and upkeep of work space: sweeping, dusting, mopping, taking out the trash and restocking supplies and maintenance of existing organizational systems
  • Comfortable handling/learning to handle both dogs and cats – general handling (leash-walking, lifting and carrying), and, placing animals in cages/carriers
  • Ability to perform occasional kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling and lifting weights up to about 50 lbs
  • Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, client communications, data entry, answering multiple phones lines, updating medical charts, filing, scheduling appointments, client education, and handling money
  • Experience working in the veterinary field strongly preferred
  • Early morning and evening availability required
